Ms. Ferris Mason, Oakland’s personal fashion guru, has always done things her way. Her father says she “chose her own diapers”. Friends, family and even strangers confided in her for wardrobe advice. Shopping at thrift stores became an outlet for Ms. Mason to create looks at affordable prices. She continued to love the art of shopping at a discounted price and giving style tips. Mason realized this was her calling, but she had no idea how to become a stylist. When a friend suggested that she model in a local fashion show, Ferriss had a door open into the world of fashion for networking. She began building connections with meeting photographers, designers, and models. As she built her connections, her vintage collection grew for clients.
Ferriss has created her own style management company and vintage store purely from passion of the art and skill. Urban Vintage CEO, Ms. Ferriss Mason, graduated from Golden Gate University with a business degree while working a full-time job as a college student and continuing to modeling. Makes sense as to why she can keep up with all the elements that UV offers. The company proceeds in growth and the established woman Ferriss Mason makes it all happen. A classic blend of her favorite vintage item, a fifties femme exaggerated hour glass shaped dress with curvy bust, tight waists, and full skirt, to a casual and comfortable jean jacket. Style has been embedded in Ferriss and portrayed in her company Urban Vintage. Ferriss represents a wave of women who are real and true to rules of style and presentation.
